City Paws was created by a couple who simply loved dogs and wanted grooming to feel different.

After seeing how busy, high-turnover grooming saloons can be, we realised many dogs weren’t getting the time, patience, and calm environment they truly need. Grooming shouldn’t feel rushed or stressful- especially for nervous, older or first time pups.

So we decided to open City Paws with one clear goal: to make grooming a safe, calm and positive experience for every dog that walks through our door.

Our Approach

At City Paws. your dog is never “just another appointment”.

We purposely do not overbook and we don’t aim to groom 6-8 dogs per groomer. instead, we work on a one-to-one basis, giving each dog our full attention from start to finish.

This means:

• No noisy queues of barking
• No long hours waiting in cages
• No rushing through appointments

Your dog gets time to settle, build trust, and be groomed at a pace they are comfortable with.

Safety & Comfort First 

Your dog’s welfare always comes before appearance.

If a dog becomes anxious, tired, or overwhelmed, we slow down, take breaks and adapt the groom to what they can cope with. We would rather send a dog home comfortable and happy instead of pushing them beyond their limits.

We use gentle handling, positive reassurance and a calm environment to make grooming as stress-free as possible – especially for puppies, senior dogs and nervous dogs.
